School buses have the best safety record of all forms of land transportation and are less likley than other vehicles to be involved in crashes. Preschoolers and children with certain needs should ride in a child safety restraint system on a school bus.

This training provides an overview of the use of child safety restraint systems on school buses, with a focus on preschool-aged children and children with disabilities. Instructional videos are incorporated throughout the training. Participants are provided time for hands-on practice.

This training is open to the public. Child Passenger Safety Technicians will earn 5.5 continuing education units (CEU) for training completion.
