Technician Guide (Revised March 2025): Download a digital copy
Q: Can I purchase a print copy of the 2024 Technician Guide? Yes, print copies of the 2024 Technician Guide are available for purchase from Safe Kids Worldwide. The cost is $25 each or $20 each for three or more copies. The cost includes shipping in the U.S. Complete and submit the Technician Guide Order Form to [email protected].

Q: Will I receive a print copy of the Instructor Guide? Yes, a print copy of the Instructor Guide was sent by Safe Kids Certification in mid-January to the address listed in your Safe Kids Certification profile. If you have not received your Instructor Guide, please contact Cass Herring at [email protected].
Q: How do I know if there are updates to the curriculum? There have been updates to the initial curriculum. Updated materials are available for download in the Protected Instructor Materials. A list of updated materials is available at the top of the page for quick reference.
Q: Can I purchase a USB with the Instructor materials? Yes, USBs with the Instructor materials are available for purchase from Safe Kids Worldwide. The cost is $20 each or $15 each for three or more. The cost includes shipping in the U.S. USBs will be shipped to Instructors and Instructor Candidates only. Complete and submit the USB Order Form to [email protected].
Q: How do I access the images for Skills Evaluation 3? The images for Skills Evaluation 3 are not included in the 2024 Technician Guide. High-quality image sets will be shipped out with the Technician Guides for each course. The image sets are designed to be reused. Instructors will have the opportunity to opt out of receiving image sets when registering future courses. A reference copy of the images is available in the Skills Evaluation folder in the Protected Instructor Materials.

- Jan. 31, 2025: Last Day to Finish in 2020 National Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification Training curriculum
Q: I have my Hybrid Instructor endorsement. Will I have to redo the online learning modules for the 2024 CPST Certification Training curriculum? As of Jan. 17, Instructors with the Hybrid Instructor endorsement have been granted access to all segments of the online learning modules for the 2024 CPST Certification Training curriculum.
Q: I started the Hybrid Instructor endorsement in the 2020 National CPST Certification Training curriculum. Are you able to transfer my progress to the 2024 CPST Certification Training curriculum? Unfortunately, no, we are not able to transfer progress between the 2020 and 2024 curriculum. Please plan to complete the Hybrid Instructor endorsement in the 2020 curriculum by Jan. 31.
Q: When can I start my Hybrid Instructor endorsement in the 2024 CPST Certification Training curriculum? As of Jan. 24, you can start your Hybrid Instructor endorsement in the 2024 CPST Certification Training curriculum. Email [email protected] to enroll in the course. Please include your Instructor number in the email. Note: If you earned your Hybrid Instructor endorsement in the 2020 National CPST Certification Training curriculum, the endorsement will carry over to the 2024 curriculum.
Renewal Testing Course
The 2020 version of the Renewal Testing Course will be used for courses offered through Aug. 3, 2025. Materials are available for download in the Protected Instructor Materials in the National CPST Certification Renewal Testing Course section.
