The National Child Passenger Safety Board presents Technician, Instructor and Team of the Year awards each spring at the annual Lifesavers Conference.
Current certified CPS Technicians and Instructors may be nominated for an award by anyone, including past National CPS Board members. Individuals are only eligible for their national certification level, either Technician or Instructor. Any individual who is nominated in an incorrect category will be moved to the correct category. Members of a team must be Technicians or Instructors. Beginning in 2021, current and past Board members are not eligible to win individual awards, but may be part of a team that wins an award.
2020 Technician of the Year Eduardo Medina
This certified CPS Technician demonstrates extraordinary commitment to programs in his/her local community supporting activities to increase child passenger safety awareness. This individual uses innovative approaches to educate caregivers, providing technically correct information in a respectful and professional manner. Additionally, this CPS Technician is committed to mentoring other Technicians in his/her community.

2020 Instructor of the Year Jennifer Booge
This certified CPS Instructor demonstrates extraordinary dedication to programs in his/her community, supporting activities to increase child passenger safety awareness at the local, state and/or national levels. This individual uses innovative approaches to educate caregivers, providing technically correct information in a respectful and professional manner. Additionally, this CPS Instructor is committed to developing and mentoring CPS Technicians in his/her community.

2020 Team of the Year Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force
This team or organization embodies in a collective sense the qualities outlined above for Technicians and Instructors, including demonstrating an impact on the community, using innovative approaches to provide technically correct information and mentoring new and current Team members.

Winners will be announced in March 2021 during the national Lifesavers Conference.
